OUR HORSES
Gator (show name Eternal Smoke)
My pride and joy who turned 37 this year!!
Gate is a black, registered Paint gelding who was born in Ontario. I purchased him when I was 17 and he was 12. It was love at first sight!!! We showed for many years in all disciplines, as this horse is the epitome of versatile, and he has been the most loyal and loving horse anyone could be so lucky to have in their life. This Farm was built and named in his honour and it is the least I could do for a horse that has given me so much.
My sweet Gatie passed away on Friday May 11, 10 days after turning 38. I am so grateful I got to spend decades loving such a special horse and almost 15 years of caring for him at home. Poor Al is rather lost without him but Grace is doing her best to make her feel better. I am still in disbelief that he is gone.
Tyler (show name Taylor Made)
Ty is a 18 year old, 15.2 hh, liver chestnut registered Quarter Horse gelding, bred and raised by Robert Oulton. He is a quirky guy who has a love /hate relationship with everyone and everything! Tyler is a very well trained horse that knows his job under saddle, but is not to be approached or petted in his paddock, as that is his personal space and he does not wish to share it.
Ty has been retired from riding life and enjoying the heck out of his new daily regime of grooming and grass. He deserves it!
Allie (show name Allie Cat)
Al is a 14 year old, 14.1 hh, bay registered breeding stock Paint mare from Manitoba. This very smart and strongly opinionated, yet sweet mare, is the apple of Gate's eye, and has brought so much joy to his life; and also to many young ladies lucky enough to have shown her. She has talent, and attitude -a plenty!!!!- and thoroughly enjoys showing off her flying lead changes to young riders, that she taught herself to perform at the age of 4.

Grace (show name State of Grace)
Graceifer is an 19 year old, 14.2 hh, grey Arab /Newfoundland pony mare. She is a kind, gentle, loving soul who will quietly pack a child around at the walk and trot but enjoys her jumps more than most and displays that enthusiasm by attempting to get around courses rather quickly!

Griffyn (show name Griffyn Park)
Griff is a 16 year old, 16.1hh, bay Registered Thoroughbred gelding that was born in Ontario and I had the pleasure of finding on a shopping trip up there a few years back. He is a puppy dog in a horses' body who is still trying to figure out where how to negotiate the footing in Nova Scotia.

Victor (show name Hummer)-
Vic is an 18 year old, 17 hh bay Thoroughbred /Clydesdale gelding, owned by my friend Eileen Burns, and is treated as one of the WaterGate Family, seeing as he is just that! He is a gentle giant that shares his paddock with pheasants, and all other manner of wildlife.
We lost Vic to colic on Friday September 15, 2017 at age 19. What a shock it was to not have him pull through. His pheasants dearly miss his company and his paddock still sits empty as his are big shoes to fill.
